Getting a vehicle
- Creative: the "Vettura · Vehicles" tab has the Halstead Tamarack T15, its key, the diesel and petrol buckets and the Road Planner; vehicles from installed vehicle packs are there too.
- Commands: an operator can place a T15 in front of them with
/vettura dev vehicle spawn; see Multiplayer & Commands. - Survival: in 1.0.0 only the Road Planner has a crafting recipe. Vehicles and fuel have none yet; they will come from machines later. Modpack makers can add recipes for
vettura:pickup_t15,vettura:diesel_bucketandvettura:petrol_bucketwith a datapack or KubeJS.
Your first drive
- Use the T15 on the ground; in the screen that opens choose the paint, wear, fuel and where the key is, then click Place;
- press Use (right-click by default) on a door to open it, then on a seat to get in;
- press Use on the steering wheel to take hold of it;
- hold G to start the engine, and let go once it runs;
- W is the throttle, S the brake, A and D steer, R and F shift up and down.
Every key: the Driving page.
Vehicle packs
A vehicle pack is a vehicle someone else made: a folder or a zip. Put it in vettura/packs/ in your game folder and restart the game; its vehicles appear in "Vettura · Vehicles". In multiplayer the server and every player need the same pack file; see Multiplayer & Commands.
To make your own vehicle: Making a Vehicle.
With shader packs
Without a shader pack, Vettura draws the headlights on the ground, the rain, the drops on the windshield and the wipers itself. With a shader pack on, these are the shader pack's: how they look depends on whether it supports Vettura.
